About APCYS 5.0

The Asia Pacific Cooperative Youth Summit (APCYS) is a significant initiative of the International Cooperative Alliance Asia and Pacific (ICA-AP) that brings young people from the cooperative sector across Asia and the Pacific onto a common platform for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation.

This year, APCYS 5.0 will bring together young cooperators, innovators, and changemakers to shape the future of ethical AI and digital economies. Centered on the theme Future-Ready Cooperatives: Youth Shaping Ethical AI and Digital Economies, the summit will spark collaboration, innovation, and action through dialogue, learning, and youth-led solutions. Meet our Organizers

APCYS 5.0 will be held at the Zhejiang Institute of Economics and Trade in Hangzhou, China, from 1 to 4 September 2026.

There is no registration fee to attend APCYS 5.0. However, participants are required to arrange their own international air travel to and from Hangzhou, China. Accommodation, airport transfers, and meals during the Summit will be arranged by the organizers.

Participants will be provided with twin-sharing accommodation at the Zhejiang Institute of Economics and Trade in Hangzhou.

Young people aged 18-35 years from across the Asia-Pacific region are eligible to participate in APCYS 5.0 upon successful registration. The participation is subject to approval by the organisers.

Interested participants are encouraged to complete the online registration form before the deadline on 8 June 2026. Those interested in joining the Coop Pitch Competition can indicate their interest during registration.

The Coop Pitch Competition is one of the main highlights of APCYS 5.0, providing young people with a platform to present innovative and sustainable cooperative business ideas. Participants work in teams to develop solutions that address the needs and aspirations of youth in their communities and pitch them before a panel of judges.
